GENESIS
PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Chenani has started working in 2003 for Classes I to V in a temporary building. Later on in the year 2019 the school has been shifted to its own newly constructed building.
New building of Vidyalaya is situated on Patnitop Road . Vidyalaya is about 3 KM from Chenani Bus Stand.

From its humble beginnings in 1963, KVS has grown into an inspiring institution of excellence in school education. This remarkable journey continues to evolve, driven by an unwavering spirit of innovation and progress.

"--- Swami Vivekananda The eternal words above define an autonomous body under the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan- Ministry of Human Resource Development of India. KVS is a vibrant and premier educational institution in the field of quality school education. The KVS Jammu region was established in 1984 and currently has jurisdiction over 38 KVs located in Jammu and Kashmir, with a dedicated, well-equipped and committed team of effective management and teachers for the intellectual, moral and spiritual development of the students. Under is working in the same direction. A galaxy of multidisciplinary curricular activities is organized on a regular basis to bring out the best in students. ‘All round personality development’ is an important focus area to enable our students to march with the ever changing world of technology and globalization. We believe in inclusive education with principle "to inspire the weak, to address the average and challenge the gifts". We are proud to help our students develop and develop the next generation sensitive and responsive citizens. Respected parents, as you know that today’s world is the world of knowledgeable person. One can win the world on the base of knowledge. Knowledge cannot be gain over night or one day or one year. Learning is the life long process. It is believed that a child has plenty of enthusiasm and zeal. To fulfill the ambitions of parents, society, nation and humanity some strategies are needed. In this regard I would like to highlight some important points for better future of our ward. (1) Please Co-operate to ensure effective education for your ward. (2) Provide encouraging environment for studies at home. (3) Assist and guide your ward in doing home-work and study. (4) Deposit fees as per rules on assigned dates of every quarterly in the bank and submit the receipt to the Vidyalaya. (5) Provide proper school uniform, books and note-books. (6) Please check your ward’s school diary regularly and ensure that the assigned home- work is done on time and do countersign on the remarks made in it. (7) You are always welcomed to the school to ensure the progress of your ward. But you are requested not to disturb the class during school hours. However you may contact the class-teacher and subject teacher personally in the staff room with the permission of the Principal. (8) Please send a leave application addressed to the Principal prior to the absence of your ward duly sign by you. Half-day leave is not allowed. Once your ward come to school will not be permitted to go home. (9) Please ensure that your ward comes to school regularly in neat, clean and tidy school uniform. (10)Please give the healthy food like chapattis, vegetables, salad etc. in your ward’s lunch box. (11) Please don’t send your ward to school when he/she is suffering from any Infectious
