About KV

Kendriya Vidyalaya Chenani was established in 2003 with classes 1 to 10 in temporary building. With the passage of time, the school has been upgraded up to class XII in 2016 (in science stream only) and got shifted in the permanent site in 2019. Now it is running classes I to XII (double section from I to X) and one section from each in science & Humanities in XI & XII. It is situated on Srinagar- Kanyakumari highway (NH-44), at a distance of approximately 3 kms from the main market as well as the Bus stand of Chenani. The Vidyalaya caters to the educational needs of about 900+ children of local and government employees. The Vidyalaya is marching ahead to impose the features of KV’s under worthy directions of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, a leading Educational set up under Ministry of HRD-Govt. of India. The Vidyalaya is selected under “PM Shri” scheme and is now known as PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Chenani at Kud.
