Bal Vatika

Balvatika was introduced as a pilot project in the year 2022 at PM Shri KV Chenani. The school is currently running Balvatika-III with strength of 41 students.
Balvatika is a pre-primary education program for children aged 3 to 6 years that is run by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS). The program’s goal is to prepare children for academic pursuits by developing their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills.
Here are some key features of the Balvatika program:
Play-based learning: The program uses play to help children develop the skills they need to learn to read, write, and develop number sense.
One-year program: Balvatika is a one-year program that takes place before Grade 1.
National Education Policy (NEP) guidelines: The program is implemented in accordance with the NEP 2020, which emphasizes the importance of early education.
